Infrared dryers in the textile industry
With metal fibre FECRALLOY gas burners various applications for the textile industry can be realized. In general most advantages are generated in processes where one or more of the following parameters are critical:
- Fast reaction time on power change request
- Even heat distribution
- Controlled and adjustable energy output
- Increased production speeds
- Large evaporation rates
- High power density
These applications are mainly found in drying, curing or laminating processes. With standard burner components and building blocks solutions various heating solutions can be realized. Basis for all these solutions is the metal fibre FECRALLOY with unequalled advantages for textile applications.
The burner characteristics excel in the following fields
- Extreme short cool down period (< 1 sec)
- Quick heating up
- Excellent energy transfer
The following applications have successfully been implemented in the textile industry
- Curing of PVC coatings on textile
- Drying and curing of foams
- Drying of fire retardants
- Drying of screen printing fabrics (rotation and flat)
- Fixation of inkjet prints
- Curing of carpet
- Pre-shrinking of non-woven
- Hot melt systems
- Laminating systems
- Drying of coated products
- Fixation of knitted products
Main advantages according to our clients are
- Improved product quality
- Increased production speeds
- Possibility of integration
Our solutions for the textile industry are
- Infrared Boosters : Infrared Power units
- Infrared drying furnaces : Fixation and drying tunnels
The Infrared Booster consists of a manifold with burners and a cabinet with gas / air control and flame ignition and sensing control. Up to 90 kW we offer the unit with premixed combustion gasses from the control cabinet to the manifold/burners.
When burners need to be switched off at the side of the manifold to adapt to smaller width of drying material or with capacities exceeding 90 kW, we supply gas and air separate to the burners and mix the gas and air inside the individual burners. With (electric) gas valves the width of the infra red can be set easily from a central control.
